–FAHRENHEIT PERSONALIZED–

Derived from the definition of Fahrenheit, each of the four members represents a season or temperature that corresponds with their different personalities. Calvin Chen represents spring, warm; Jiro Wang represents summer, hot; Wu Zun represents autumn, cool; and lastly, Aaron Yan represents winter, cold. Each of the four members also has his respective temperature represented on the Fahrenheit scale: Calvin Chen is at 77 degrees, Jiro Wang is at 95 degrees, Wu Chun is at 59 degrees, and Aaron Yan is at 41 degrees. Each of their temperatures are separated by 18 degrees.

Wu Chun was born and raised in Brunei for most of his life, later graduating with distinction at RMIT, in Melbourne, Australia. He was introduced to the entertainment industry during a trip to Taiwan around mid-November 2005. A television producer, who happened to be Ella from S.H.E’s older sister’s boyfriend, discovered him during this trip, and recommended him to play the lead male role of Tokyo Juliet, which Chun accepted.

Aaron Yan was born in Taiwan, but moved to New York at a young age. He later returned to Taiwan for high school and college. He attended the Chinese Culture University, majoring in Journalism but later switched universities and majors in his third year. He is currently on a study hiatus due to work commitments. Around early 2005, Comic producers had been searching for elite bloggers around the web. They discovered Yan, who, at that time, was really popular online, and thus recommended him to audition for a role in a drama. Yan thought it was a fraud at first, but after several tests, he realized that it was true. He was given a small role in ‘I Love My Wife’ and was later asked to be in ‘It Started With a Kiss’.

After Calvin Chen graduated from high school in Taiwan, he further pursued his college education in Canada, where he completed his Masters degree in Economics at University of Victoria. He entered a pageant-like competition called (Sunshine Boyz) in Vancouver^[2] and won first place with a free ticket to Taiwan and a contract with a music company.

In 2000, Jiro Wang started to work after graduating from Taiwan’s Fu-Shin community college, and did part-time jobs wherever he could, such as commercial modeling. BMG, the label that signed him, planned to package him with Jay Chou and Jordan Chan to form a boy band called 3J, but because of 9/11, BMG’s stocks crashed and the 3J plan was scrapped. He later joined the army for 2 years, and came back around 2003. Since he was still popular around Taiwan, he was given two roles as a guest-star in ‘The Pawnshop No.8′ and ‘I Love My Wife’. Then Comic Productions approached him, and was given the supporting role as Ah Jin in ‘It Started with A Kiss’. That was where he was grouped with Aaron, Calvin and Wu Chun.

Although unstable at first, Fahrenheit first gained minor recognition around late 2005 when their first altogether series, KO One, was broadcast on television in Taiwan. Because it felt awkward to have only three members in a boy band,^{[citation needed]} Wu Chun joined the group later in late 2005. On December 28, 2005, Fahrenheit officially became a vocal quartet boy band.

Musical career

[edit] Rise to stardom

Before Fahrenheit released their first album on 15th September 2006, they gained minor attention as singers from contributing in several Taiwanese drama soundtracks. Their popularity immediately rose after the soundtracks were released, but was only limited to Taiwan and Mainland China. After their first album was released, their fan base had extended to Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, Philippines, Indonesia and the rest of Southeast Asia . Overseas fans such as from North America and Europe are also getting more familiar with them.

As soon as announcements for their debut album pre-order was released on August 30, 2006, the album broke past 10,000 copies. ^[3] After its release in September 15, 2006, the album entered the G-music charts and was ranked #2. It was less than 1% below Jay Chou’s Still Fantasy album, which came out two weeks prior to the release. ^[4] Fahrenheit’s album sold passed an impressive 80,000 copies in Taiwan within the first month. ^[5] Ultimately on the G-music Mandarin Charts their album was ranked 11th for the top 20 of 2006 and stayed in the charts for 17 weeks. ^[6] Their primary song, or zhuda (Chinese: 主打; pinyin: zhǔ dǎ) song, “I Have My Youth” (我有我的Young Wo You Wo De Young) was on Hong Kong’s Global Rhythm List as the Top 16th song for weeks. Their duet with Hebe of girl group S.H.E also won them several popular awards. Fahrenheit was also the first new foreign boy band to have won third place for Best Group at Hong Kong’s TVB8 Awards. Although unable to defeat their seniors S.H.E and Twins, who had won first place and second place respectively, they have beaten Hong Kong’s local boy bands such as Sun Boy’z and Soler. In less than a year, Fahrenheit has already won eight awards. Despite the outburst of winning multiple awards, there had been debates where fans disagreed with the awards that they have won. The most debated topic was when Fahrenheit won HITO Music Awards 2007′s Best Male Group award, arguing that Fahrenheit is too inexperienced to have won the award.^{[citation needed]}

[edit] Popularity and success

With the help of starring in popular dramas, Fahrenheit has been the fastest moving boy band^{[citation needed]} and has quickly gained their status as one of the top boy bands of the year in Taiwan. Within a year, they had already debuted in over 30 different magazine covers all over Asia. They make frequent appearances in Taiwan’s Play and Color magazine covers. After their predecessors F4, they are the second Taiwanese boy band to hold a concert in Indonesia with only just one album released. They already held two mini concerts: one in Medan, North Sumatra, Indonesia on March 31 and one in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong on April 19. ^[1] Also, they held 2 concerts sponsored by Watsons Water at the end of September 2007: one in Hongkong on September 28, 2007 and one in Guangzhou on September 29, 2007.

Fahrenheit attended to an opening ceremony for their new music label in Hong Kong, WOW Music, at Times Square, Hong Kong, on April 19, 2007, the same evening where they held their mini concert in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong. They also attended with fellow label mate Tank as well as with other popular artists like Candy Lo and Mavis Fan. More than a thousand fans showed up at the mall, the majority being Fahrenheit’s fans. There were fans who faced danger and climbed on roofs, cars, narrow roads, etc. to catch a glimpse of them. Some fans also fainted and were stepped on due to the number of people. Over fifty security guards and ten policemen had to appear at the venue to protect Fahrenheit as well as the other artists. There were also some fans who rented vans to chase after Fahrenheit’s vans. Some fans also became victims of car accidents because of this. At their mini concert in Hard Rock Cafe, the organizers had to cut down Fahrenheit’s performance because the fans were going overboard and out of control. Fahrenheit expressed that they do not want their fans to do anything dangerous. Fahrenheit’s company explained that if fans do not correct this behavior they will cut some of Fahrenheit’s future trips to Hong Kong. ^[7]

Major concerts

Ever since Fahrenheit’s meteoric rise to stardom, HIM has been giving quite a bit exposure for Fahrenheit, such as promoting the group in two of S.H.E‘s major concerts in Taipei and Singapore where they were seen performing their duet with Hebe as well as their own songs. Ever since their exposure had hit the Hong Kong market their company does not want to miss this chance for more promotion for the group and is currently organizing Fahrenheit’s first major concert in Hong Kong in September at the HKCEC. It was reported that they are originally going to hold a concert in Hong Kong’s renowned coliseum, Hong Kong Coliseum, but because all of the performances slots are full, they have to move their concert to a different venue. The director of WOW Music expressed that Fahrenheit is currently slated for performing in the HKCEC for two to three nights. In the winter of 2008 they will debut in the Hong Kong Coliseum. ^[8] as part of their All-Asia Concert. During their All-Asia press conference for the release of their second album in Hong Kong, it was revealed that plans for the All-Asia Concert were in the works. Confirmed concert stops include Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia. Towards the end of September, Fahrenheit had some concert stops in Mainland China and about a week later, they had a several more concerts in China with S.H.E for their Mengniu Promotion-type concert.

Musical style

Fahrenheit’s songs mainly fall into the bubblegum pop and pop ballad category. However, songs like “Teachable Child” (孺子可教 Ru Zi Ke Jiao) and “Love’s Arrived” (愛到 Ai Dao) are intended for a light R&B approach. Songs similar to “The Secret of Immortality” (不死之謎 Bu Si Zhi Mi) and “Superb” (出神入化 Chu Shen Ru Hua) are leaning toward the pop rock and rap genre, where they displayed their ability to rap and harmonize well.

Their much anticipated second album, Two-sided Fahrenheit, was released on January 4, 2008. The new album saw the four employ more advanced harmonizing techniques as well as some progression from bubblegum pop to more mature ballads, such as “Ten Thousand Joys” (一萬個快樂 Yi Wan Ge Kuai Le). Nonetheless, the band’s youthful energy was retained in songs such as the opening song for the drama Romantic Princess – “New Home” (新窝 Xin Wo)， which is a duet by Fahrenheit and their seniors S.H.E. On the album “Little VIP” (小小大人物 Xiao Xiao Da Ren Wu) is the Disney theme song for 2008.

Often criticized for the lack of character in their music, Fahrenheit finally moved towards carving a more distinct musical style with their third album, Love You More & More (越來越愛 Yue Lai Yue Ai) which features a new maturity that is brought out by rock ballads like the main track, “Lonesome Sprint” (寂寞暴走 Ji Mo Bao Zou) and “Stay With Me” (留下來 Liu Xia Lai)， of which the latter was written by Monster, the lead guitarist of popular Taiwanese band, Mayday. The album also features “Artery” (動脈 Dong Mai), theme song of The Clue Collector (霹靂MIT), “Shining Star” (恒星 Heng Xing)， theme song of Rolling Love (翻滾吧！蛋炒飯) and the ending song of upcoming drama Superstar Express (愛就宅一起) featuring Jiro and Rainie Yang, “The Love of Silence” (默默 Mo Mo). The album is completed by slower ballads that showcases the quartet’s improved vocals and chemistry in harmonization.

2003–2005: Debut

Before their debut, the group was offered three tentative names: O Jang Yukbu (오장육부 lit. The Five Visceras), Jeonseoleul Meokgo Saneun Gorae (전설을 먹고 사는 고래 lit. A Whale That Eats Legends), and Dong Bang Bul Pae (동방불패, the Korean title of Ashes of Time). They decided on Dong Bang Bul Pae; however, the name was rejected because the Hanja was not aesthetically pleasing, and the name was changed to Dong Bang Shin Gi.^[8]

TVXQ made their debut on December 26, 2003 during a BoA and Britney Spears showcase, where they performed their debut single “Hug” and an a cappella rendition of “O Holy Night” with BoA.^[9][10] The group released their debut single “Hug” in January 2004; it peaked at #4 on the monthly charts and sold a total of 169,532 copies, making it the fourteenth best-selling record of the year.^{[11][12][fn 1]} Their second single, “The Way U Are” (July 2004), debuted at #2 spot on the charts, becoming the ninth best-selling-record of the year, selling 214,069 copies.^[13][12] TVXQ released their debut album, Tri-Angle (October 2004). Tri-angle debuted atop the charts and sold a total of 242,580 copies, making it the year’s eighth best-selling record.^[12]

~DBSK-MIROTIC-~

In April 2005, TVXQ debuted in Japan under the Avex sub-label Rhythm Zone with the single “Stay with Me Tonight”.^[14] They released their second Japanese single, “Somebody to Love”, before returning to Korea and releasing their second Korean album Rising Sun. Rising Sun debuted atop the charts and became the fourth best-selling-record of 2005 with a total of 222,472 copies sold.^[15]. TVXQ ended the year with two releases: their third Japanese single, “My Destiny”, and a Korean single with label-mate Super Junior, “Show Me Your Love“. The latter debuted atop the charts and sold 49,945 copies, making it the thirty-fifth best-selling record of the year.^[15][16] At the end of the year, TVXQ received the Best Music Video award for the song “Rising Sun” and the People’s Choice Award at the 2005 Mnet KM Music Video Festival.^[17]

[edit] 2006–2007: Foray into Asia

TVXQ began 2006 with their first international tour, Rising Sun 1st Asia Tour. In addition to South Korea, they toured in China, Thailand, and Malaysia, making them the first Korean performers to hold a concert in Malaysia.^[2] In March, the group released their fourth Japanese single, “Asu wa Kuru Kara” (明日は来るから, lit. Because Tomorrow Will Come^?), and their debut Japanese album, Heart, Mind and Soul. The album debuted on the weekly Orico

n album chart at #25 with 9,554 copies sold.^[18] Their fifth Japanese single, “Rising Sun/Heart, Mind and Soul”, released a month later, debuted on the Oricon singles chart at #22.^[19] To support the album, TVXQ held their first Japanese tour, 1st Live Tour 2006: Heart, Mind and Soul, from

May to June.^[20]. TVXQ released two more Japanese singles, “Begin” and “Sky”. The latter debuted at #6, making it the group’s first single to reach the Top Ten.^[21][22][23] In the summer, TVXQ performed in Avex’s

annual A-Nation summer concert.^[24]

The group resumed their Korean activities with the release of their third album, “O”-Jung.Ban.Hap. (“O”-正.反.合. lit. “O”-Thesis.Antithesis.Synthesis)^{[fn 2]} in September 2006. Like their previous Korean albums

, “O”-Jung.Ban.Hap. debuted atop the charts; with a total of 349,317 copies sold, it became the number-one record of the year.^[26][27] Two months after “O”-Jung.Ban.Hap, the group released another Japanese single, “Miss You/”O” – Sei-Han-Gō” (miss you/”O”‐正・反・合, lit. Miss You/”O” – Thesis-Antithesis-Synthesis^?), which debuted on the chart at #3, making it their first Top Five single.^[28] At the 2006

MKMF Music Festival, TVXQ won four awards, “Best Artist of the Year”, “Best Group”, “Mnet.com” and “Mnet Plus Mobile People’s Choice Award”.^[29] At the 16th Music Seoul Festival, TVXQ won three awards including a “Daesang” award.^[30] The group won another “Daesang” award at the 21st Golden Disk Awards 2006, in addition to a “Bonsang”.^[31] At the SBS Gayo Awards 2006, TVXQ won another “Daesang” and “Bonsang” award.^[32]

TVXQ began 2007 with a new Japanese single, “Step By Step”, which was followed by their second Asian tour, The 2nd Asia Tour Concert ‘O’.^[33] The tour took place in Seoul, Taipei, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Shanghai and Beijing.^[34] In March, the group released their tenth Japanese single, “Choosey Lover”, and their second Japanese album, Five in the Black. Both debuted in the Top 10 of their respective charts, the former at #9 and the latter at #10.^[35] In May, the group attended the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards Japan and won the “Best Buzz Asia in Korea” award for their album “O”-Jung.Ban.Hap.^[36] From June to December 2007, the group released a string of five singles: “Lovin’ You“, “Summer: Summer Dream/Song for You/Love in the Ice“, “Shine / Ride On“, “Forever Love” and “Together“. “Summer: Summer Dream/Song for You/Love in the Ice” reached #2 on the Oricon, making it the group’s highest-charting Japanese single to that point. TVXQ also collaborated with label-mate Kumi Koda for her thirty-eighth single, “Last Angel“, which was used as the theme song for the Japanese release of Resident Evil: Extinction.^[37]

Friendster memberikan kemampuan customize profile baik dengan gambar,audio, juga video. Fungsi Personalized URL memungkinkan pengguna untuk kustomisasi page sesuai dengan penggunanya. Friendster Blogs Free memang digunakan cuma-cuma tapi akan dilengkapi ”hiasan” tambahah berupa iklan-iklan.

Kekurangannya adalah :

Facebook

Facebook pertama didirikan oleh mahasiswa Hardvard University pada tahun 2004. Pembuatnya adalah Mark Zukerberg. Pada awalnya facebook hanya dibuat untuk kalagan terbatas misalnya hanya untuk mahasiswa/i Harvard Univesity. Namun sekarang facebook telah dibuka keanggotaanya untuk umum. Mark yang memang hobi utak-atik program pembuatan website berhasil menulis kode orisinil Facebook dari kamar asramanya. Untuk membuat situs ini,Mark hanya membutuhkan waktu selama 2 minggu. Mendapati Facebook mampu menjadi magnet yang kuat untuk menarik banyak orang untuk bergabung di website ini.

KESIMPULAN :

Untuk Privacy Control,Facebook memiliki keunggulan dibandingkan friendster. Built-in privacy protection yang tersedia pada facebook setidaknya memang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan beberapa social networking website pendahulunya.Tidak sedikit beberapa proxy di lingkungan kerja sudah memblock social networking. Jika anda memang sudah memilih account di friendster,tidak perlu serta merta melupakan user account dan passwordnya. Friendster masih bisa dapat diandalkan untuk tetap berhubungan dengan teman lama dan mencari teman baru. Namun jika anda ingin lebih mengenal dan keep in touch dengan teman-teman lama anda ,ada baiknya juga anda membuat account Facebook.

Library adalah media yang kita punya yang sudah kita upload sebelumnya di blog kita. Kita bisa mengganti foto atau video yang sudah kita upload.

Add new adalah dimana kita mengupload data baru yang belum pernah kita upload sebelumnya. Kita bisa mengupload gambar,video,dll yang bisa kita tampilkan di blog pribadi kita.

Jadi intinya kita bisa mengupload foto,gambar,video dll di blog kita.

Kantor berita AP memberitakan detik-detik kelahiran sang bayi. BBC, Washington Post, Yahoo, Wikipedia dan media lainnya sudah memperbarui situsnya dengan berita tersebut dalam hitungan menit.

Setelah menunggu 41 tahun, akhirnya keluarga Kaisar Jepang mendapatkan anggota keluarga baru berjenis kelamin laki-laki. Bayi laki-laki itu kini berada di urutan ketiga ahli waris takhta kekaisaran setelah Putra Mahkota Naruhito dan Pangeran Akhisino (anak kedua Kaisar dan sekaligus ayah sang bayi).

Di balik kegembiraan menyambut sang bayi laki-laki itu, ada pertanyaan mendasar mengenai ketidakadilan jender yang mendera anggota kekaisaran berkelamin perempuan. Tahun-tahun sebelumnya, bukan nama Putri Kiko yang sering disebut media dan masyarakat Jepang, melainkan istri putra mahkota, yakni Putri Masako.

Entah bagaimana perasaannya setelah kelahiran bayi laki-laki itu, adakah dia merasa kalah, atau sebaliknya mendapatkan kembali kemerdekaannya, terlepas dari impitan kewajiban yang dibebankan negara kepadanya yang sebenarnya di luar kemampuan kebanyakan manusia?

Konon, sumber depresi terbesarnya selama ini karena tidak bisa memberi putra laki-laki, melainkan hanya seorang putri. Undang-Undang Kekaisaran Jepang Tahun 1947 yang mensyaratkan kelelakian untuk menjadi kaisar menjadi pemicu depresi putri diplomat yang sekaligus profesor di Universitas Harvard ini.

Pola tradisional

Menikah pada usia 30 tahun, Masako Owada harus rela melepas karier cemerlangnya mengikuti jejak sang ayah, menjadi diplomat. Masako juga lulusan Harvard dengan predikat magna cum laude. Masako juga pernah kuliah di Universitas Tokyo dan Universitas Oxford jurusan hubungan internasional. Prestasi akademik yang gemilang itu ternyata tak memberinya banyak kemudahan saat kembali berhadapan dengan pola kehidupan “tradisional” yang umumnya masih memandang perempuan tidak lebih sebagai mesin penghasil anak.

Putri Aiko, bayi sehat dan cantik itu, belum lagi bisa membaca koran, tetapi sudah jadi topik hangat dalam perdebatan di parlemen tentang undang-undang kekaisaran. Akankah undang-undang diubah agar kekaisaran tetap jatuh di garis darah yang semestinya?

Dua sepupu Putri Aiko, Putri Mako dan Putri Kako, memang sudah tereliminasi peluangnya sejak kelahiran Putri Aiko. Kedua putri itu adalah anak dari Pangeran Akishino, putra kedua Kaisar Akihito, yang pada tahun 1990 menikahi Kawashimo Kiko.

Pernikahan tersebut mendapat sorotan agak negatif kala itu sebab baru pertama kali dalam sejarah Kekaisaran Jepang seorang pangeran menikahi rakyat biasa. Meskipun Putri Michiko, istri Kaisar Akihito, juga tak punya darah kebangsawanan, tetapi permaisuri kaisar itu berasal dari keluarga sangat kaya. Yang juga dianggap tabu, Pangeran Akishino menikah mendahului kakaknya, Putra Mahkota Naruhito. Kemudian, Pangeran Akishino dan juga calon istrinya, Kawashimo Kiko, masih berstatus mahasiswa S-1 di Universitas Gakushuin.

Berbeda dengan Putri Masako, Putri Kiko dinilai masyarakat Jepang masih pantas mewakili sosok perempuan tradisional Jepang. Meskipun juga melewatkan sebagian masa kecil dan remajanya di Amerika Serikat dan menyelesaikan studinya hingga mendapat gelar master di bidang psikologi dari Universitas Gakushuin pada tahun 1995, Putri Kiko tak pernah bekerja dan tak pernah aktif dalam kegiatan kemasyarakatan, seperti halnya Putri Masako yang sempat terlibat dalam diplomasi tingkat tinggi internasional.

Sosok Putri Masako sebagai figur perempuan modern Jepang kerap diulas media. Dari gaya rambut hingga cara sang putri tertawa begitu lebar dalam perjalanan wisatanya bersama keluarga Ratu Beatrix, Belanda, bulan Agustus lalu, mendapat sorotan berbagai kalangan. Diberitakan, perjalanan wisata ke Eropa bersama suami dan anaknya itu adalah bentuk pencarian kemerdekaan dari adat Kekaisaran Jepang yang dikenal sangat ketat.

Media dan masyarakat Jepang seperti memosisikan dua putri ini sebagai saingan satu sama lain, tetapi sama-sama hampir tak memenuhi harapan kekaisaran untuk melahirkan bayi laki-laki sebagai penerus takhta.

Di Rumah Sakit Aiiku, melalui persalinan caesar yang juga jadi persalinan caesar pertama dalam Kekaisaran Jepang, Putri Kiko pada usianya yang ke-39 melahirkan bayi laki-laki dengan bobot 2,588 kilogram.

Kini, media tak lagi menyorot wanita yang memegang nilai magna cum laude dari Universitas Harvard, tetapi dia mesti menerima kenyataan hingga kini gagal melahirkan bayi laki-laki untuk Kekaisaran Jepang. Sorotan kamera dan tulisan- tulisan media akan berganti fokus ke keluarga Putri Kiko. Perdebatan tentang undang- undang kekaisaran di parlemen untuk sementara akan mereda. Tetapi, gerangan apa jadinya bila kelak Putri Masako hamil lagi dan juga melahirkan bayi laki-laki?

Mengakar dalam

Putri Masako dan Putri Kiko adalah dua perempuan yang secara biologis tak punya keistimewaan apa-apa dibandingkan dengan perempuan lain. Akan tetapi, kehidupan keduanya yang diberitakan secara luas membawa pesan serius betapa ketidakadilan terhadap perempuan mengakar begitu dalam.

Ketidakadilan yang sama juga berlaku di banyak kelompok masyarakat dan sosial. Perempuan, entah berdarah ningrat atau tidak, umumnya dihadapkan pada pertanyaan rutin yang sama: setelah lewat masa remaja akan ditanyai kapan menikah?

Setelah menikah, akan ditanyai kapan punya anak? Setelah punya anak satu, akan ditanyai kapan memberi adiknya? Setelah punya beberapa anak, akan ditanyai lagi berapa laki-laki, berapa perempuan?

Di banyak tempat di Asia, misalnya, perempuan begitu terperangkap oleh beban sosial yang demikian berat. Kisah kedua putri di keluarga Kekaisaran Jepang ini kurang lebih ada refleksi dari ketidakadilan ini. Bedanya, jika perempuan kebanyakan hanya ditanyai keluarga, kerabat, dan lingkungan sekitarnya, maka Putri Masako dan Putri Aiko dibebani oleh keluarga kekaisaran dan juga negara sebab “adalah tugas mereka” melahirkan penerus takhta.

Pada hari yang dirayakan oleh hampir seluruh rakyat Jepang itu, saya menyaksikan potret buram dominasi patriarki yang mengerangkeng kedua putri itu. Bagaimana seandainya berita yang tersebar hari itu adalah “Seorang perempuan!” Putri Kiko melahirkan bayi perempuan yang cantik dan sehat. Akankah negara dan rakyat Jepang tetap menyambutnya sebagai pahlawan penyelamat generasi kekaisaran?
